ArcaTech, ICS to Co-Present “Successful Kiosk Implementation” on May 6

Tech Talk will Address Installation, Monitoring and Lifetime Service

MEBANE, N.C. – ArcaTech Systems, a leading supplier of transaction automation solutions for self-service applications, joins with industry partner Innovative Control Systems (ICS) on May 6 to present “Successful Kiosk Implementation,” a KioskCom Self Service Expo Tech Talk.

ArcaTech’s Kirk Nelson, associate vice president, OEM Solutions, will team up with Kevin Detrick, president and CEO of ICS, to discuss the importance of proper installation, remote monitoring and lifetime service for complex transactional kiosks. ICS manufactures, installs and services full-payment media kiosks, specializing in outdoor applications such as auto washes and quick lube centers.

Detrick, who has worked with ArcaTech for several years, notes that the two companies share a commitment not only to the manufacture of quality kiosks, but to exceptional service as well. “Building quality self-service equipment is only half of the formula for success, and a kiosk manufacturer is only as good as the service it provides,” said Detrick. “With that principle in mind, Kirk and I hope to teach our listeners a few of the service and support fundamentals we’ve learned during our careers.”

Nelson noted that in addition to delivering the Tech Talk, ArcaTech and ICS will make available a whitepaper that summarizes some of the key points of the presentation. “We’ll be addressing two types of readers: kiosk manufacturers and kiosk buyers,” he said. “Manufacturers can learn more about ICS’s successful service model, and buyers can learn about the kind of service they should demand from suppliers.”

The presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 6, at 12:45 p.m. in Tech Talks Theater on the show floor. The related whitepaper will be available at ArcaTech’s booth, 401, and Innovative Controls Systems’ booth, 529.
